Klaus Bruhn Jensen Named International Communication Association Fellow
Professor Klaus Bruhn Jensen from the Center for Tracking and Society was inducted as a Fellow of the International Communication Association (ICA) at the 2023 ICA Conference in Toronto, one of the top honors in the field of communication.
The ICA grants the status of Fellow to communication scholars who have made distinguished contributions to the field. To be considered, candidates must be nominated by ICA members based on a documented record of outstanding scholarly achievement and secure a majority vote from ICA’s current Fellows. As of the annual ICA census (August 2021), living ICA fellows account for 4.5% of overall membership.
In his nomination letter, Dr. Jun Liu from the Center for Tracking and Society wrote:
Professor Jensen has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the community of communication studies. During the past four decades, he has been an active contributor to our community, as a long-time member of editorial boards for ICA journals, and as a participant in annual conferences and a member of select committees. He has made a difference, theoretically, methodologically, and empirically, to our discipline.
The nomination receives support from many distinguished scholars in the field, such as Professor Robert T Craig (the University of Colorado, Boulder), Professor Rich Ling (Nanyang Technological University), Professor Sonia Livingstone (the London School of Economics and Political Science), Professor Paolo Mancini (Università di Perugia), and Professor Kim Christian Schrøder (Roskilde University), among others.
Congratulations to Klaus!
